Dear Honorable members of Congress,

I am a constituent in your district and a member of the Freedom Fate Foundation, and I would like your opinion on a bill we would like to introduce. The bill would address the severe housing crisis and create an affordable solution. The working class, the ones who pay taxes and keep America great, are the same ones that are shunned. They rarely get an even break or a fair shuffle. That is especially true regarding housing. With skyrocketing prices, high interest rates, and enormous insurance costs, few, if any, qualify; in fact, over 60% of hardworking, taxpaying citizens like myself cannot afford a home.
The bill I would like you to introduce and support will be called the ZERO INTEREST PROGRAM (ZIP). The ZIP homeownership loan program would allow the purchaser a five-year, zero-interest loan, thus allowing millions of working-class people to qualify. For this plan to succeed, it requires the government, banks, and borrowers in a cooperative agreement. The government would compensate the interest rate differential of the going rate and zero rate to the banks; the borrower, upon the equity build over time, would pay back the government differential interest rate paid to banks upon the sale of the home.
I assure you this plan is not a government bailout or a giveaway. It is a common-sense solution to the poor housing market, and no one would be left holding the bag at the end. Furthermore, the economy would boom. Housing is a key factor in the nation’s economic health and would pump $3,000,000,000,000—three trillion dollars—into the economy and give all Americans the boost they want and deserve.
Additionally, this is the type of plan President Trump would understand and approve of, especially if the money to launch this came from the Elon Musk – DOGE Project.
